You will:

• Own all aspects of managing customs brokerage day to day operations
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high performing customs professionals
• Quarterback any issues causing bottlenecks in operations flow
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the development of operational efficiencies through automation
• Support and advise (potential) clients on EU customs related matters including classifying products and advise on document compliance and any additional data needed to process shipments, i.e. OGAs, FTA, ADD
• Responsible for customs guarantee management, customs license applications & license maintenance (such as AEO-C)
• Develop & maintain cross functional SOPs 

You should have:

• A successful track record, preferably in customs brokerage or freight forwarding - Brokers Certificate required
• A people-developer mindset with a strong focus on helping team members building their skills and growing their professional capabilities (experience required in managing teams)
• An owners mindset: always looking for ways to improve processes
• A solution-oriented mindset: ready to break down barriers, partner with others, and get creative to solve problems
• Next-level attention to detail and follow-through
• A system and process oriented mindset
• Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
