Help Flexport build our Procurement Team.

The opportunity:

The Ocean and Trucking/Intermodal procurement operations team owns, manages and operates the platform(s) that enables Flexport to design, test, and execute intelligent pricing for our vast array of service offerings. Successful team members can think in algorithms but communicate with anyone. We own Flexport’s pricing models and work across many groups within Flexport including Engineering & Product, Procurement, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Business Operations.

To strengthen the teams we are looking for a pricing associate.

What you’ll do:

• You will ensure our teams have timely access to accurate buy and sell rates through our platform that enable us to compete in the market
• You will manage ocean, trucking & intermodal tariffs and Flexport rate database(s), ensuring we have a complete and accurate port-folio of transportation costs 
• You will use robust data analytics to attack opportunities to scale, optimize and grow

What you’ll need:

• Successful finished commercial apprenticeship or Bachelor’s degree
• first work experience in an analytical role; pricing, revenue management, freight, consulting
• You are a Self-starter, Detail oriented, Comfortable with uncertainty, a confident communicator
• You have a strong analytical background and knowledge of analytical tools (Excel, etc)
• You have a track record of data-driven problem solving while dealing with incomplete information
• Skills: Excel, PowerPoint, SQL a plus
• English business fluent (oral and written), additional German skills are beneficial
